So I don’t know if I’ve really mentioned this before, but I’m a bit of a Kindle addict.
I put off buying an e-reader for SO long because I have a strange tactile obsession with physical books, but when you travel as much as I do, an e-reader is a total godsend.
Other than my annual Amazon Prime membership, my very favorite subscription deal in the entire world is the Kindle Unlimited program. For $10/month, Amazon allows you to borrow from their outrageously expansive collection of over 1 million Kindle Unlimited books (and listen to thousands of audiobooks!).
You can borrow up to 10 books at any given time, so when you finish reading a book you can just swap it out for another. I like to keep a book wishlist on my Amazon account to keep track of books I’ve been meaning to read.
Up until recently, I somehow managed to completely ignore the fact that there are a TON of digital cookbooks on Amazon. I use an old-fangled Kindle which doesn’t show color, so I thought that the digital cookbook experience would be less than thrilling.
Of course, as I’m sure everyone else has already figured out, you can read digital cookbooks on your phone, tablet, and desktop using the FREE Kindle Reading App!
Since we’re getting REALLY close to Christmas, I thought there might be a few of you out there still struggling with gift ideas. Idea: give a Kindle Unlimited subscription and load up a loved one’s digital device or computer with free reading!

I too am a complete Amazon, Prime and Kindle Unlimited addict. I actually bought the first edition of Kindle back in day one and now I am on my 4th Kindle. The new Fire has a camera. I never even thought about the cookbooks but it’s a great idea. I have the Kindle reader app on my laptop and the big screen TV is connected with a HDMI cable to I could see the recipes from my kitchen. Thanks for the tip.
